I’ve left a rather provocative comment over at Asterisk this morning on the subject of the homogenization of blog design and what seems to be an increasing unwillingness to step outside the boundaries – “because the standard design works” is the cry of those unwilling to think outside the box.
Disclaimer – there’s a large dollop of ‘devils advocate’ in my comments on Keith’s site; hopefully when the rest of the world gets out of bed we might get a decent discussion going.
Anyway, just wanted to say hi to anyone coming here via Keith’s blog and head off criticism of my own fixed width, right-hand sidebar, looks-like-every-other-blog blog; fact is, I’m not an uber-talented designer. See the post-redesign post for more information, if you’re interested.
