Blogger sacked by "Evil Boss"

One of the lead items on this evening’s news concerned an Edinburgh-based blogger who has been suspended from his job at Waterstones due to comments he made on his personal website – including referring to the company as “Bastardstones” and naming his branch manager “Evil Boss”.

Amusingly he is then quoted as saying:

I had not set out to deliberately ruin the company’s image… in fact I don’t think I have even inadvertently; if I had wished to do that then I would have been running less satirical and far more biting comments on a rather more regular basis…

Yeah, because of course they really shouldn’t mind the “Bastardstones” tag, given the biting satire you could have come up with?

The BBC have helpfully provided a link to his blog so, in addition to being fired, he’s also going to be landed with an enormous bandwidth bill this month.
